American author George R.R. Martin (or “GRRM” for short) is best known for his Game Of Thrones novels that have recently been adapted into a popular fantasy HBO television series. In 2011, he was named as one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine.

American author George R.R. Martin (or “GRRM” for short) is best known for his Game Of Thrones novels that have recently been adapted into a popular fantasy HBO television series. In 2011, he was named as one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine. In addition to the Game Of Thrones book series, GRRM has always written several standalone novels (including one children’s novel – The Ice Dragon). More than just a novelist, Martin has also written teleplays for The Twilight Zone, Beauty and the Beast as well as his own Game Of Thrones TV series and is continuously proving his versatility as a writer. Martin continues to write Game Of Thrones books, with two more forthcoming.
